I wouldn't be able to comment on the frame strength but we do have trailer hitch options which can handle the tongue weight load you are looking carry. The best option we have for this would be the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-07 which is rated at 1,600 lbs tongue weight. The Sumo Springs will provide a smoother ride as well as helping to reduce body roll.
